         At the turn of the century, in early 2000, Shanghai Rongjian Chemical Plant Co., Ltd. made an important technological breakthrough in the field of fine chemicals - it successfully independently developed the production process of cuprous chloride and took the lead in realizing the "high temperature method" large-scale production technology with advanced industry level. This achievement marks that the company has taken a solid step in the preparation technology of this key chemical raw material, breaking the technical barriers or external dependence that may exist in the high-quality production of this product in China at that time.


         As a core process route for the production of cuprous chloride, the high temperature method has significant advantages such as high product purity, few impurities, good crystal form, and stable physical properties compared to other methods (such as traditional copper sulfate reduction method). It can better meet the stringent requirements of raw materials in high-end application fields such as electronics, catalysts, dye intermediates, and organic synthesis. The R&D team of Shanghai Rongjian Chemical Plant overcame a series of technical difficulties such as high temperature reaction control, crystallization process optimization, and equipment corrosion resistance, and successfully mastered the core process parameters and stable control technology of the high temperature method.


        The speed of transformation from successful laboratory research and development to industrial production also reflects the company's efficient execution. After achieving a breakthrough in laboratory technology in early 2000, the company quickly promoted pilot scale-up and production line construction, and successfully achieved large-scale production and put it on the market at the end of 2000. This not only opened up a new economic growth point for the company, but more importantly, it effectively improved the domestic supply capacity of high-quality cuprous chloride, reduced the production costs of related downstream industries, enhanced the market competitiveness of domestic chemical raw materials, and contributed to the development of China's fine chemical industry.
